Pokemon Platinum
Pokemon Platinum is the 3rd game in the Fourth Generation series. It is like the Emerald of the Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire set, or the Crystal in the Pokemon Gold and Silver set.
Pokemon Platinum has a ton of changes from the Diamond and Pearl games. First of all, there are spots of snow everywhere! The land of Sinnoh has supposably gotten a lot colder, which is also why the "hero" characters (Dawn and Lucas) have gotten new outfits.
The storyline also dramatically changes. All I know of so far is that you get your Pokemon before you get to the lake now, not when you get to it like last time. And the Red Gyrados is not mentioned much in the beginning like it was last time. After the beginning there are minor changes to the game, except for the fact that Fantina is the Third Gym Leader, Maylene is the Fourth, and Crasher Wake is the Fifth!
There is also a Battle Frontier in Platinum, like the one it Pokemon Emerald. I don't know much about this "new" place yet.
To get on to the whole Main point of the game, Giratina has a new form! (called a Forme) It is called the Origin Forme, and its forme that was seen in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl will be called the "Altered Forme". Here is a picture of Giratina:
This new Giratina is the main Pokemon in the Game, as seen on the Box and other pictures. To go along with this main character, there is also a new area to discover, the Torn World!(called the Distortion World in English) This area lets you defy the laws of gravity by letting you walk on side walls and upside down. This is where you will find Giratina's Origin Forme.
Shaymin also has a New Forme in Platinum, the Sky Forme! To change a normal Shaymin into a Sky Shaymin, you need to use a special flower called the Glacidia Flower. Here is also a picture of the new Shaymin:
Aside from what I have already mentioned, there are just minor changes from here. Some more of those changes are:
- There is a new character named "Looker". He is supposably a spy, but that's all I know about him.
- Team Galactic has a new Professor, named Charon.
- About 60 more Pokemon were added to the Sinnoh 'dex.
- Some slight graphic changes have been made
- Wi-Fi has been advanced
