HeartGold/SoulSilver
Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver are not-yet-released Pokemon remakes of the extremely popular games, Pokemon Gold, Silver, and Crystal. Although they still follow about the same storyline, there are some MAJOR changes and HUGE suprises awaiting to be found. Like I said earlier, I will not release huge spoilers until after the games come out in America.
Some of the changes and additions to the games are; There is a female character, with the defaut name of Soul, Pokemon will now follow you around, the graphics now will look clean and up to the 4th generation standards, there are new areas to be found, some of which hold Pokemon in them like Groudon, Kyogre, Palkia, Dialga, and Arceus, and the Pokedex and PokeNav are completely controlled by the touch screen, giving it a real Nintendo-DS feel.There are also nice, new sprites for all of the Johto Pokemon.
To go along with Pokemon following you around, this starts from the very beginning of the game, and the only requirement for it to happen is to get your starter Pokemon! After you get the starter (Cyndaquil, Totodile, or Chikorita), Professor Elm says your Pokemon will start to walk around outside with you. Any Pokemon can do this, too, not just your starter. From Bulbasaur to Arceus, the Pokemon can join you by your side (actually behind you) on your adventure. While out, you can interact with the Pokemon, and it will even sometimes pick up items for you, it's like using the 'Pickup' ability without actually having it! To make a certain Pokemon walk with you, it has to be first in your party.
As I said before, all of the Johto Pokemon have new sprites. As a start to showing these, here are the starter Pokemon sprites:
