Affiliation
For those of you out there that don't know, an Affiliate is where two websites link together, because the webmasters like the website they are linking to.
If you feel that way about my website and want to do this, make sure your website meets the following standards.
The website has to have a good, not eye-hurting layout. Avoid using overly-bright background colors and colors that clash with one another,
like having a bright red or, lets hope not, yellow background and bright blue text. Use softer tones, like a pink or lighter red background and black text if you
want to have a red layout.
It must have some good content.This means content that not everyone has. I know I have content about games that every other website may have on it, but I add to that content with my own stuff, like the mission descriptions for Pokemon Ranger. This "good" content can be anything from a personal review of a game to a tutorial of how to do something (like sprite).
It has to be Pokemon-related.Your website has to have information about Pokemon on it. Would it really make sense to have a Pokemon website linked with, say, a Digimon website? I don't think so.
As long as it relates to Pokemon, I don't care if your website focuses of spriting, the video games, or something else of the matter.
The website must be in English. If it is not, I probably wouldn't understand anything on it, and neither would the majority of my viewers.
It should have at least ten (10) pages. I don't really rely on this rule to see if you make it or break it as my affiliate, but it would be nice to have someone that has ten or more pages on their site. If your website follows all of my other requirements but has less than 10 pages, you will most likely become one.
Finally, I have to like your website. To become an affiliate of mine, I have to find your content and layout to be clean and interesting, and the webmaster has to be positive and not give the image of a snotty little boy infront of a computer screen, trying to gain attention.
If I Do Not Accept You...
Please don't feel very badly. Your website probably is just too small or has another problem that could be fixed with a little time and effort. When, and if, I
turn you down, I will give you tips and suggestions to improve the website. After you fix the things I mentioned and added more to your website, you can send me another
request.
If you still feel like your website meets the standards of affiliating with Pikachu's Corner, you can send me a request (look at the "Contact Me" page).
This request should have your site URL, a short desription of your website, and a 88x31 site button.
